sal-vitro-olympia-theatre-dubin-8Sal Vitro opened for Jeff Beck at The Olympia Theatre last Wednesday.

Probably a bit of a mismatch with a Jeff Beck audience but Sal Vitro managed to convince the crowd that they were worth their slot tonight. They usually play a brand of blues tinged heavy rock, but tonight they had to forego the heavy rock for a more sedate acoustic set. It highlighted their versatility and musical heritage, and was a joy to watch. They have a truly fantastic vocalist in Josh Dunford, a man who sounds like he’s straight from the Mississippi Delta. These guys have genuine talent and some cracking songs and are definitely ones to watch for the future.
